My name is Shankar. It means “the giver of bliss”, and there’s a reason for my membership to be present here. I’m here to give happiness to all equally and unequivocally at all times without prejudice. And in review of my personality; I'm generally a calm person in nature but I thrive more through my main attributes that consist of “compassionateness of another world”, “intellivertness (intelligence with extro-introvertness)”, “a naturally-driven responsible guy”, “the guardian of love making in its highest form”, “human values with romance of the highest degree”, “philanthropist”, “a guy with mutual-understanding for life”, “TRULY an open-minded guy to be with”, “very soulful in nature”, “fiery character”, “a brave-hearted man who defies logic when necessary”, “super adventurous” and finally a “playful one” which we all need in life. Being playful is not a child-play or childish act..but to increase your youthfulness as you continue to wind in time with PURE ENTERTAINMENT. No Game No Fame, but to TAME your humility always.
Anyway, I'm more of a listener than a talker. Although I’m super capable of being an extrovert at some stage in my life...I strive to live an introverted life of purpose whilst making sure every single moment I engage is well earned and well loved. I love inspiring others whenever I can, which makes the best out of me. Well I hope the same with anyone inspiring me too. In an unconditional return of love ...I should also be the best example to my future partner. Otherwise what's the point in being one-sided, right? So life is all about giving and taking without any expectations or fear of control. You allow nature and time to take charge of your pursuit in life. No regrets, just an inner growth thing within you.

If you traverse the path with me...you will find nothing but pure love, authenticity, all truth, compassion and gratitude in its truest form. Relationship is all about equally giving and equally honoring one’s love for one another. Accepting “WHOLEHEARTEDLY” the way we are, and trusting the sacred connection without remorse or discrimination…is the “REAL SUCCESS" in building a relationship from the get go.
I’ve been on a constant path of self-awareness and healing since young. I'm definitely looking for a serious relationship with someone whom I can meet at any progressing level of consciousness (so long the desire is there to connect sincerely). Someone who thinks outside the box. Someone who is passionate in becoming a self-realizing soul, and shares our values together. Someone who definitely links divinity and true social connection in our everyday life.
Nature is deeply important to me. I love walking with my bare-foot on...through the fields and uncharted lands, jumping fearlessly into the sea, wandering through the wilderness alone or with a company, meditating in good silence in natural parks, falls or sanctuaries, sky gazing the stars of the universe, dipping myself in cold or pristine rivers, and mountaineering/hitchhiking the scale of the sacred mountain paths around the world. So that’s just some natural side of me, which activates my outdoors sense whenever possible. I can share more...but another time :)
I like to sing and dance. Yes, singing and dancing is quite important to me as well. It always gives me my most healing and nourishing soulful experience.
I love traveling, and exploring thrilling adventures across our dear planet EARTH. I’m quite capable of opening up the door of true freedom to an unlimited cultural experience which will define the human spirit, values and the unity of our human race!
I like being creative. I love music and movies of all types and genres, so long the message is there for life improvements. I think these two entertainment elements represent the bigger side of me. I can be...a bit of an old fashioned type, but never a let down by the current standards of lifestyle. I’m very honest and straight up, and at the same time...I'll be super-neutral about what I say and do when things go right or wrong.
My wish is to leave some positive vibrations in the universe and to feel “LIFE" as one of my lasting legacies. My future soulmate would surely be my last "incredible-masterpiece" of a true relationship experience.

I became vegan in 1987 for the animals. I have always loved animals and am active in animal rescue. I will always be involved in that to some degree. Cycling, snorkeling, hiking, kayaking, and sailing are my favorite outdoor activities. No, I do not own a boat. I'm learning to sail on Hilo Bay. My regular bike ride is 26 miles, and my last hike was about 7 miles.
I am learning to dance for the first time in my life, and even though I don't know Spanish and quite often don't know what I am doing, I am having a blast! I'm taking classes in Salsa and Rueda de Casino, which is like square dancing in a circle with the calls in Spanish!

I've been a vegetarian since 1969 and just recently turned vegan although I still eat eggs. Built a small greenhouse in 2018 and enjoy the head start it provides. Recently finished a series of ponds that I've been working on for years (see photo).
Well we made it to 2021. What a ride 2020 was. Almost had to evacuate the house in September due to forest fires nearby, bad air was traumatic. Pandemic hasn't changed my lifestyle much. My group activity has slowed down some (but usually does in winter). I keep busy with various projects. Will try to finish a patio in the spring (second photo). Started the new year by canceling my satellite tv feed. Maybe I was getting too much news and too much entertainment. So far it feels good just to focus on my creativity.
OK, now we've made it to 2022. Hard to believe how polarized this country has become and how almost half of the country apparently no longer believe in democratic priinciples.
Luckily Oregon is a progressive state, but I live in Linn County which tends to be conservative. Brownsville used to be a place where people with differing politics could get along
with each other, but we're feeling the polarizaiton here as well. Crazy times indeed.
And now it's 2023. The Ukarine war rages on. Three of my grandparents were Ukrainian so it is quite painful to see such unnecessary suffering going on there.

9 Fire Libra Dog woman. Though I’m a fine person with lots of good qualities, a viable man/woman relationship has eluded me. These times seem to emphasize differences, separation, etc., maybe my life reflects the times, maybe it’s my own karma. I do study and seek understanding.
I’m very low income, able to take care of myself and well more than half way with paying off this foreclosure house in beautiful Haines, Alaska. Though my own food practice is more one of macro-snacking, rather than a truer macrobiotic diet, and though I don't have the interest in sex that I had previously, I still believe that sharing food and sex is absolutely essential for a couple. I would like to deeply explore those 2 areas with a man. I do still cook of course and it would be wonderful to share that with another.
With a man, I want to explore both the simple pleasures and the deep healing available through food and sex, so-o-o much is available right there. I'm serious about playing with astrology to help determine compatibility: Chinese for depth compatibility, Western for shared interests, livability, etc., and 9 Star Ki for general dynamics. I would also look at compatibility from the Vedic perspective, plus I know about another system of energetic profiles. I don't mean to sound totally nuts but in my younger days I had so many short, difficult relationships including my marriage and at 77 this is my last chance for something with depth and longevity with a man. To be clear, I look for green lights from systems outside myself like astrology to guide me in taking the first few steps in a relationship, I do not use these systems to determine daily life.
I view the man/woman relationship as some sort of combined resting place and grinding stone--a situation with enough comfortability to balance and offset the kind of intense honing that's natural when 2 people connect their lives attempting to become truly themselves, to become truly joined to each other, to become one with the universe. A little more laughter and fun would be a good thing too. My idealistic and romantic dream is still for true love and affection and a kind of joined-at-the-hip life where a man and myself live in tandem, work and play mostly together. That said, kindness and companionship just might be enough. I’d like a life that's as simple, natural, self-sufficient, and sustainable as is possible. My soulmate may still be out there.

I love telling travel stories. I've had some great adventures and would love to have more.
